Happy Sinday, lovely Angels! I can’t think of a week where I’ve been more happy to see it roll around. My fic and Rob mojo have been running dangerously low lately with no time to refill. I’ve been enjoying what I do have time to read, but am crazy behind on updates and nothing new was pwning me. I decided to think about what originally drew me to fic in a quest to find my happy place. If there is one genre that I find myself always going back to, it would have to be the angst. I really can’t get enough of the drama and the heartfail- I love a good story that just pulls you in and won’t let go. I actually look for stories that can evoke enough emotion to make me cry. Add to that the fact that I’m not sure when I’ll get a chance to see Remember Me, plus reading entries for the Black Balloon Contest (more on that in a bit) and I decided to just turn the whole damn week into one big emo-fest.

It seems there are a lot of angst h00rs out there, judging by the twitter response I got to send me your faves, so get out your kleenex- you will love both of today’s recs. For those that aren’t sure if you can take it, I think you’ll find that both of these stories are worth the heartache, so fasten your seat belts and dive in. If angst isn’t your thing, fair warning that you should probably skip the reading this week and just look at the pretty;)

I have loved this story since the first chapter and I’ve stayed with it until it ended last month. I was actually avoiding reading the last chapter because I didn’t want it to end. The author’s words make the whole thing feel like poetry and it’s just lush and beautiful. Her Edward is a talented painter with a bit of a tortured soul and Bella sees beauty through her own words. There is just something so lovely and poignant about their journey together, even the hard parts, and I adored it. If you can take a good romantic dose of angst, make sure you don’t miss this one and you can look forward to the Epi soon.
I’m putting the Spotlight for this week’s WIP on a fantastic story called Awake in the Infinite Cold by quothme. No banner for this one, but there is a gorgeous video by the author that you MUST watch- it alone made me cry.
Summary: Sometimes the fruit is forbidden for a reason. An odd mélange of Twilight and How to Be, with an Edward that looks and dresses like Art. Because Artward breaks my heart. Not your typical E/B romance. AH

Remember how last week I said that no other story has affected me like Gondolier’s HL5? Yeah, well, I just found one. In a funny coincidence, Gondolier herself recently rec’d this one, along with a lot of other authors and readers. I don’t know how I’ve missed it for this long and I can’t even describe how hard this fic has pwned me. It’s a cross between Twilight and Flowers for Algernon with a mix of others and it’s unbelievably well done. Flowers has haunted me since I read it a million years ago and I can tell that this story is going to do the same. It’s so intelligent and heartbreaking and beautiful that I’m still struggling to explain what I think about it, but I know I will be printing it out to read again and I’ll be watching *coughStalkingcough* for an update like the shameless fangirl I am. This is truly an angst dream come true, so START READING if you haven’t already.

OK, I saw “Remember Me” last night with my daughter and both of us ♥LOVED♥ it! About 5 minutes into the film she turned to me and exclaimed..”God, he’s so sexy in this! I can’t stand it!” (So tell me ‘dotter’ how you really feel!!??) Anyhow, the film is so intimate, and shot so intimately that at times I felt that I was standing on the set, in the same room, I could smell the atmosphere and almost reach out and touch them. I don’t think I’ve ever felt that way before. The acting was honest, you believed everyone. Rob was fantastic, Chris Cooper (he’s always fantastic..), Emilie..the whole cast. Amazing!
We raved about it so much when we got home that I’m heading back with DH on Tuesday to see it again because he’s dieing to see it now. We had recently watched Chris Cooper in “Lone Star” on DVD and you can’t enough of that guy! But DH actually wants to see Rob in this just as much, I thought it was just Chris, but nope, he insists that he sincerely would love to see Rob play something other then Edward, the fact that he has seen all of Rob’s other films seems to have escaped him. (The first thing to go is the brain right?)

Oh yeah… forgot the summary…
Bella wants one thing from Edward…. but Edward wants more. When will Edward get what he wants? AU/AH, Chock full of lemony goodness.
Basically, Bella and Edward enter into an ‘arrangement’ – sex with no strings. But, unbeknownst to Bella, Edward has been in love with her for years. He gives her the sexual relationship she wants in the hope that she’ll return his feelings. Bella tries to deny his feelings — and her own — despite Edward’s advances and their years of friendship. Lemons, some fluff, and lost of angst ensue… definitely a good read.
So, I saw Remember Me last night. My two RL friends ended up backing out at the last minute, so I went by myself. I was totally fine with it. I could perv in peace.
SPOILER FREE: Anyway, of course, I loved it! The acting was awesome, the writing, the directing, the sets, everything, perfect. Rob was so sweet and sexy and intense. And , the best hair evah LOL. Anyway, I’m emo today because of something that happened in my RL. I don’t really want to get into it, but I’m pretty down in the dumps. Hopefully, things will be better tomorrow. Love you ladies.

So I had a Rob & Jackson dream this morning (slept in way late, but REALLY needed it!). I was still cockblocked, but it was kinda cute and fun, so I’m gonna write it down before I forget.
My husband and I were staying in a hotel (unknown location/reason), and he had left for something and come back with Jackson in tow. LOL My husband is obsessed with Avatar: The Last Airbender and can’t wait for that movie to come and knows who Jackson is, etc. So anyway, Jackson hangs out with is and is basically just being a goofball making me crack up. At some point, it comes up that Rob is in the building as well. I kinda surreptitiously excuse myself and step out of our room to wander around and see if I can find him. Awhile later, I run into Jackson again in the lobby, and Rob is with him. Hubs has now very conveniently disappeared from this dream. LMAO
I’m staring at Rob, for obvious reasons, trying not to freak out and freak HIM out. Jackson is just continuing to do most of the talking and joking around, and seems oblivious to my reaction to Rob, who in turn looks wary of me. LOL Anyway, Jackson suggests we all go to a diner to grab something to eat, so of course I go with. We all sit in a booth, Jackson next to me, and Rob across the way. We talked a little about music, but it was still mostly Jackson doing the talking… I don’t think there was even any actual convo between me and Rob.
Jackson was being his very friendly self, in fact, a little TOO friendly. LOL Yep, Jax was all over me, putting his arm around me, kissing me on the cheek, etc. all in a very playful way. Meanwhile I’m laughing nervously and staring at Rob the whole time like “why couldn’t it be you sitting over here?” LOL. He just shakes his head with a look on his face like he’s not sure whether to laugh or puke. LMAO And that’s when I woke up…
See?! My brain just will NOT let me get anywhere near that boy!!!
Oh well, it was still a fun dream. And truth be told, I didn’t entirely mind Jackson lovin’ up on me a little.
OK, I’m off to get ready to go see Remember Me again, all by my lonesome this time. I feel a LOT better today though. I think I got all my emo shit out of me yesterday… it was a rough day, operating on only 3 hours sleep, but man did all those fic updates help! UofEM, H&D, TWoW. It was my salvation, truly! ♥

I had a dream few months back that I was working in a whorehouse and got sent into a room where HHH was waiting for me and asked for me specifically…its weird too cos when the details mag came out, the furniture and high ceilings etc were the same as in my dream. but the best thing about my dream was his good 0 face while I was ‘down there’ I get a lady boner every time I think about it.

I love TwiSmut Sindays! Why?? Because I’m a PattinH00r FanFic addict to the max… I love me some angst, but not TOO much or I can’t take it and have to take a break… (i.e., EP and CW&IA)…
I’ve found that recently, other than my fav AU Human stories that own my add (i.e. MotU and UoEM)… I’ve been drawn to Edward Vampire fanfics… both cannon and DARKVAMP… So my recs this week are two that I started recently…
The first one is “MONSTER’S SERENADE” by Artemis-Vampire, a WIP. It starts off a little slow, but as the characters develop becomes very interesting…and I love the period (1890s) of time it takes place in..and Edward is a very dark sexy vampire…
Summary: Edward Masen was changed in the early nineteenth century (1817) by Carlisle Cullen in England. Later on, he separated himself from the Cullens and moved to Washington, USA. Bella Swan’s parents die in an accident, and she has to move to the small, village-like homestead township of Forks Prairie with her uncle, Charles Swan. Fate brings her to Edward’s doorstep, and the dreaded monster rears its ugly head. Will she survive the monster?
