Why am I enjoying this story…because it has me laughing outloud so so often (and there are some hot lemons too). The writing is full or wit & snark (damn but I love me some snark) and Bella is such a strong character. I won’t give it away but there is a scene with Edward, RPattz & a dumpster which may sound weird but it really works & damn it had me giggling.

If it’s the same story I read months ago, I stopped reading after a few chapters and never went back to it when I got consumed by other stories. Will have to try again when I get through some of the pile of stories I have favourited.

I love The University of Edward Masen, It’s definitely owning my add, as is Edward Wallbanger. I haven’t read Screamers yet, but I’ve added it to my list to read after I’m done with the others (who am I kidding, I’ll probably start it tomorrow). I got caught up on UofEM this week and just love it. I wish it would update every single day!
Another one that I read yesterday is called Bright Like the Sun, and that is great! This one is AH, but it’s set in high school and has a lot of the feel of the first book. Edward’s still this quiet guy that nobody knows, and the entire family is extremely pale & doesn’t go into the sun due to a severe genetic allergy. But what kills me is the dialogue. Bella is kickass in this one, hilarious and snarky, and her & Edward have a great back & forth going here. So far no lemons, but it IS NC-17, so I have my fingers crossed!
Summary:
When Bella goes to live with her father in Forks, things go much better than she expected. At least until a slick parking lot, a careening van, a broken arm, and her weird lab partner from biology get in the way…

I so agree with you about reading stuff on Twilighted. The black background and the red on black lettering for some of the screen captions is just a nightmare, particularly when you’re tired (which I suspect most of us are, when reading at 2am on a school night!) At least FF gives you the choice of black on white on white on black.
I agree with you I hate reading on Twilighted, again because of the background and the search facility etc. FF is so much better, especially for an FF addict like me who will read on my mobile phone while waiting in line at the supermarket, it is amazing how fast the line moves when you are reading some great FF
PS…I still can’t get over how Rob’s face changes so much. He can look 5 years older in some with more stubble and then like this Vanity Fair cover, he is somewhere in between…he still looks SO YOUNG, but still so MATURE and SEDUCTIVE. Gah.

JAG, per your recommendation, I read University of Edward Masen, and LOVED it. I’m fairly picky, but I love this Edward with a passion. Bella is pretty spot on too. I did read all 97 pages twice, just to make sure I didn’t miss anything the first time around.
Wish she’d update a little more often though…
The Lost Boys was another interesting, and fun, find. Loved how that Edward was English, and moneyed. Good character development, and story line, in that one.
As for the VF cover – um, yeah, I’ll get back to you all when my brain unscrambles. I understand we’ll be able to buy the mag on the 6th, so I’m making plans to be at the nearest Borders as soon as it opens…

UoEM=double WIN! That one is seriously messing with me. And, the author, SR, is completely awesome. S/he (really, I’m not sure… I think she, but some think he… and s/he won’t say because s/he is Google-able…) posts regularly on the story thread @ Twilighted. S/he said I was brilliantly smart, which is highly untrue… but it was a nice thing to hear from someone whose writing I admire. Oh, and I don’t think s/he has a Twitter account.

Yep, U of Edward Masen is definitely owning my add. I checked it out after you kept plugging it so much! I have to admit, at first I didn’t think I’d like it because I really would rather stay in Twilight character, like have the characters play their normal roles and whatnot…but this story is SO well written and although there are obvious difference (all human for example) there are also many parallels that the author draws to their Twilight personas! I love it, it is EXCELLENT…but now I’m hooked and have to wait anxiously for an update….le sigh.
And…uh…Robity Fair is going to kill me.

Twitter. It depends. If you’re not following each other but you’re not ‘locked’, then you can send each other tweets. If one of you is ‘locked’, then you both have to be on each other’s list (well, you can tweet them, but they won’t see it). Same for actual DMs… you have to be following each other.
At least, this is how I understand it. Someone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong… I’m not the Twitter expert by any means.

Morning All!
How are we all feeling after the Halloween parties??? I’ll admit, I’m a tad delicate this morning and my white pillowcase looks like an abstract art canvas!!
As for the fanfics, I refuse to start reading any new multi-chapter ones. I’ve got about a dozen or so on the go at the mo. So, I’ve taken to reading the odd one-shot. I’ve read most of the Tattward/Inkella over on FF. Short and sweet (or should that be sour, because they are soooooo lemony!!!) Perfect for a little quick reading in between clients for me!!
Thanks to the first vid yesterday, I have also decided to treat myself and have started reading The Office again ……. oh, how I’d love my own Beautiful Bastard.
