I have to admit I loved the Twilight soundtrack and still listen to songs off it lit’rally everday. Needless to say I’m looking forward to the New Moon album release on October 20th…and yes I did pre-order it (it’s on the RAoR sidebar). BTW, I also got the New Moon Companion too, can’t wait to drool over the pictures read it.

Another admission, I bought the Twilight soundtrack before I saw the movie and knew all the songs by heart when I went to see it. I plan on doing the same this time, it made the movie even better.
The only bummer, no Rob on the soundtrack but the rumour lately is that he’d like to do a song on the Eclipse soundtrack….fingers crossed.

OK… That first screencap, when Edward steps into the meadow in her daydream… GUH! I hadn’t seen that clip, and he is fucking SMOKING hot there! I love that damn suit. It looks snazzy, and way sharper than the one he dumps her in.
I have mixed feelings on the song. The video is great. I’m sure the song will grow on me, just like much of the Twi soundtrack did. I’m not sure how I feel about the singer’s vocals. He’s a bit nasaly for my taste, but not bad.
Definite bummer that we went from TWO Rob songs last time to NONE now.

Really loving it. I think it’s my new “Decode”. (I loved that song even before I read or saw Twilight, but now I always get a Twilight feeling/vib whenever I listen to it. Those opening chords are so haunting…)

“Emancipation Proclaimation”, then got caught up with “I Get Off”, “The Training”, and “Show and Don’t Tell” which were updated along with CW&IA…I’ve have a very busy few days..people..LOL! Oh yah..not to mention the new chapter in “Edward Wallbanger”. What can I say? I’m definately OCD! I pre-ordered the soundtrack for New Moon a couple of weeks ago, now just waiting for it in the mail when it’s released. I really like the line-up of groups on it, but I too am a little upset Rob isn’t on it, but from what I’ve heard him say, he didn’t want to be on it this time. Of course that’s just my impression of what he’s said..but him on the first one really did it for me.
Yeah, DCFC is ok, but would MUCH rather watch this video instead. Songs slowly growing on me. Can’t wait for the movie.

I actually have the opposite plan from JAG regarding the soundtrack. I am avoiding it at all costs until after I see the movie a few times. I won’t even read the track listing. I’m afraid that I’ll over-analyze the music and be too focused on which song fits where when I’m watching it.
I want to learn the music from the movie first so I can think about the movie when I listen to the soundtrack, instead of thinking about the soundtrack when I watch the movie. Does that make any sense at all?

No, JJ….that’s what I do, too! Funny, my BFF and I were talking about that today. We both agree. I did read who was on the ST, but not listening yet. Got my tickies for the Nov.19 midnite show…then I’ll probably buy the ST. I’m a little disappointed there weren’t any Evanescence songs on it….there is one called “Good Enough” that sounded so perfect to me. Also, “My Immortal.” Oh well, Rob said he will try to write a song or two for “Eclipse!” We can only hope!

*sigh* Funny that this is your post today, JAG because my r/l Twi friend and I just discussed this yesterday. She asked me if I was going to buy the soundtrack for NM. I told her as of right now, no. I might after the movie if I like the music. But since Rob is not on this one, it loses major points with me. I listened to the song you posted. It was ok. It didn’t knock my panties off or anything. haha I think they would have been better off to beg Rob for at least 1 song. I think they should have sought out Sam, Bobby and Marcus for songs since they indirectly contributed to the last soundtrack and are so visibly popular in the Twi World now with their music. I think they should also have added Kings of Leon’s Closer. Would have worked well with NM. I also wish they had included these 2 songs as they would have been perfect for NM if you listen to the words….

Totally agree with you. I’m going to wait for the movie before deciding on purchasing the soundtrack. Summit (?) scores an Epic fail for no having a Rob song on it. Otherwise, I’d have one on order now!!!!!!!!!!!

I can’t stop reading EP either. After Wide Awake it’s my fav OOC fan fic. I was up till one last night and can hardly wait until lunch to read more. When I get to the point where I catch up with her writing I will be on pins and needles waiting for updates. I swore I would not read FFs that weren’t complete but I couldn’t stop myself since everyone was talking about How good EP is. And boy is it. My own personal brand of heroin.

I can’t tell you how psyched I am for the soundtrack to come out. I’ve pre-ordered it from iTunes and also complied a playlist of stuff already in my library performed by several of the artists on the soundtrack. I actually really like all of the stuff I’ve heard and I think this soundtrack will be a lot better than the first one. Just throw some Happy Rob pics into the mix and I’m good to go!

I also listen to the soundtrack on a daily basis, and it just doesn’t get old. Muse, love it, Paramore, love it, Blue Foundation, love it etc. Its just a GREAT soundtrack, and for the first time I liked ALL the songs on it. Excited to see if I like every song on the new one. Don’t think I’ll be listening to the songs before the album gets out.

this is completely off track but i work for the NPS on the east coast and this was posted on our incidents page today: On September 28th, park dive team members recovered a weapon from the Bogachiel River near La Push, Washington. The Forks Police Department asked that the team search for the gun, as it was a critical piece of evidence in a homicide case that had occurred a few days previously. The weapon was found by park dive officer __ and diver __ in 22 feet of water after a search that lasted about two hours. The weapon was turned over to an investigator from Forks PD. A suspect has been charged in the case.

OMG LMAO I cant tell u how many times Ive been dragged (ear plugs in tow) to see RUSH. Best part, is all the dudes playing air guitar and air drums during the show…so funny!

HEY, Rush are great musicians. Seems a lot of the bands I like, are heavier, so they have more guys at the concerts. Yes, Rush is one of them. I love Rush. ‘Moving Pictures” was their best album. Yeah, not a lot of women into Rush. And yeah, Neil is BADASS on drums. He’s got a couple of really good books he’s written too. He takes off and rides cross country on his motorcycle and writes about it. Neat man. He lost his family and nearly ripped him up. But he survived. He hit the road….and found some peace. I like “Road” books…. I guess me being a musician, I just relate to these guys so much…

They should’ve used ‘Angels’ by Within Temptation…talk about capturing the mood…..I came across this earlier on in the year before my Robsession really took a hold. It was a piece of music that accompanied a fan-made video of Rob pics on YouTube which has since been taken down. Even my 15 year old son loves it….he is developing a very eclectic musical choice for a 15 year old under his mother’s influence LOL!

Ohhh, I just can’t wait for New Moon, I feel like a junkie waiting for her fix. Especially with pics and videos that remind me of what is yet to come. I really like that Meet Me On The Equinox song, it’s really good and I can’t wait to get the NM soundtrack.
Oh, I forgot to mention that, like you Jag, Let Me Sign is also my fave song on the Twilight soundtrack. I drove my kid’s nuts when we first got the dvd, because I kept replaying that scene over and over again!

Looking forward to getting the soundtrack, as there’s a bunch of artists I really like, although not sure I want to listen to it before the film comes out as I’m always disappointed if a favourite song isn’t used for dramatic affect in the actual movie, but is just played over the credits.
Have been listening to Meet Me At The Equinox for a while now as they’ve been playing it on BBC Radio 1 quite a bit and I really love it – although am slightly irritated by the incorrect pronounciation … it should be eckquinox, not eequinox. But that’s just me being anal!

I have the soundtrack preordered from amazon.com as well as the How To Be DVD… however I was dumb when I did the checkout, cuz I said to just send it all together when both items are available… which won’t be until right around the time NM comes out!!! I wasn’t thinking, ugh!! So I will have to wait almost a month after the soundtrack release before I actually get it… oh well, live and learn *sigh*

I heard the TWI soundtrack before I ever saw the movie. I downloaded it from itunes & it had “Let Me Sign” as a bonus track on there & when I heard it and realized that was Rob singing well I just melted (that was also same time RobQ) came out on the stands & I was done for then & there.
I wish so much Rob would record the entirety of “Let Me Sign”. I’m holding out a lot of hope, but I won’t hold my breathe. *sigh*

I love Let Me Sign. Very recently Rob mentioned having material for an album but not having the time to record and not being quite ready. I think he may be hesitant to share… he wasn’t thrilled with the version of Never Think they used for Twilight and maybe he just wants control over his music for now.

I know Rob didn’t like the version of “Never Think” that was used in the movie & soundtrack. I was surprised when he commented on that during the audio of the movie & CH said something back to him in that grating voice like “but you heard it Rob”. I think he said it sounded too monotonous, so I can tell he’s very critical of himself. I think it sounds soooo good, but I love “Let Me Sign” more. I was so happy when JAG posted the full version of Rob singing it even though it was really hard to hear his voice.

Hi f_kingdelicious! I would, but I won’t be here when the movie comes out on 11/21. I will be on an island off FL totes trying to pry car keys out of my hubs hands so I can get to a cinema off island to see it. LOL

@robsexme… Yeah, I think that he’s a perfectionist when it comes to his own stuff. The fact that he can’t watch himself onscreen and kinda freaks out about the YouTube vids of him singing tells me that he’s pretty critical of himself in that regard. I love Never Think… it’s absolutely beautiful and wonderful (though, like you, I love Let Me Sign a bit more). But when I heard him make that comment, it made me wonder about the version we DIDN’T get to hear. I’m curious now…
