Just wanted to take a moment this morning to remember the victims of 9/11 and their families. Having been personally impacted by this event, I chose to remember this day by focusing on the celebration and beauty and joy in life. Let’s all embrace that as we reflect. <3

Well, we waited patiently, were confident in Jen’s plan and low and behold we got actual 100% confirmation from the amazing PFach that Rob has in fact received the shirt. Peter joked in his tweet that Rob might be saving it for the New Moon premiere LOL God, I hope not we can’t wait that long.

Yes, JAG….thank you for your mention of 9/11…..I waited for news all day from my girlfriend, who was @ work in Manhattan….she saw the 1st plane hit, but luckily, she was far enough away to escape. She walked back to the Bronx! My heart and prayers to you, JAG, and everyone who was affected by that terrible, black day….we will never forget!

My sister lives in NY too. She has many friend's and their husbands who never came back home that day.
My Dad lost a friend as well. His friend was Jeremy Glick, one of the heroes on Flight 93. So, this is a sad day for my family to remember all the friends they lost.
God bless the USA and may our militaries continue to protect our freedoms such as speech that we use here every day with each other as well as protecting us from ever having to deal with such tragic losses again.

Chapter 43 of Wide Awake has me all screwed up. I remember I was talking about all the Male/female push and pulls all these FAN FICS have, but jeez louise, now we ARE getting psychologically screwed with in this story WIDE AWAKE. Before I was willing to try to decipher it all and why some authors went with dominant female and other authors went dominantly male and some wanted the freaking stereotypical shrinking violet bullshit to continue. I MEAN…..I was willing to discuss it before, but then nobody wanted to discuss it….and now here in WIDE AWAKE in chapter 43, I’m having to deal “edward” freaking the hell out on uppers and having a kind of psychotic “episode” and I’m definitely not able to handle this right now. My stomach hurts and I’m PMSing and I really just wanted to relax and read something to take me away for a while and this shit is just TO ANGST DRIVEN and hurts too much. Don’t know how much more of this one I can read before running madly off screaming…..pant pant pant.

I think all of us reading these stories …..so getting into them, says something serious about our lives and our need for understanding of all of this sexual frustration and push and pull of the gender power tripping that goes on in relationships. I’m not saying this all right and nobody is going to discuss this with me as you will all say..>THIS IS NOT THE PLACE and this isn’t appropriate here. But still, there’s some heavy shit in why we are all reading these SERIOUSLY heavy romantic/sexual or one or the other fan fics. And right now I’m not doing well with this.
I just see my future going on forever and me alone and it’s frightening as shit cause I have romantic and sexual feelings still left in me with nowhere to go. Is that what we are all wrestling with with these god damned fan fic stories? Some sort of release? a different type for each person from each story written? Some going for one thing and others for the other….in search of some kind of release or answer?
It’s freaking me the fuck out trying to figure out these fan fic psychological meanings…..for each type of fan fic I read. FREUD would have a fucking field day with this shit.
But I’m not enjoying it very much. Some of these are just TOO HEAVY for me emotionally speaking. I have to say I’m WAY WAY too sensitive and this one is getting to me.
So forgive me for spilling my guts here, but I’m upset right now….maybe it’s PMS. But this shit can get pretty deep. However, it is supposed to be an enjoyable activity, so if you aren’t enjoying reading it then the best bet is to leave it be. If you want something a bit lighter you could do worse than read “Mr Horrible”, which is really good fun and may suit your current mood.

Watched 9/11 unfold from my living room in London with shock and horror – I’ve got a cousin who works on Wall Street (thankfully unhurt) – so my deepest condolences to those who lost loved ones.
As for the Stoli, I’m not sure he would be allowed to wear it at the VMAs, cos it’s basically advertising a brand of Vodka (especially as this one’s in English), so we may be disappointed ladies (assuming, of course, that he is going to be there *sigh*).
I think it’s more likely he’ll wear it when he’s in casual mode, on the set or generally out and about with his mates.
Regardless, this has already been a monumental WIN for Jen and JAG and, in common with several posters, I feel a vicarious pleasure just knowing that he’s received the shirt and clearly appreciates the gesture enough to tell PFach and let him Tweet about it. I just bet he had the sweetest smile on his face when he opened the package, saw the shirt and then read the letter.

I was awake the morning of 9/11 as I had been up all night as usual, but something made me turn on the tv and not long after I did..it happened. It was a frightening morning for the world. We each know where we were ….it’s like when Kennedy was shot…..IF you were around then. I wasn’t born, but I’ve heard stories…..where people say that. It’s the same with 9/11

I’m sorry I got so deep tonight….I do think it’s pms. It makes me really emotional and I become “CLEAR” in some ways…but not always in a comfortable way…can you relate?

This day is always heart rending, I know too many people who lost loved ones in that tragedy. Living out on Long Island, many of my neighbors, friends and family work in the city. It was an unspeakable horror. I was in the design phase of a weekend home in the Hamptons for a family when their son perished in the collapse. They were never the same after that.

I know nobody wants to talk about this, but I think our ‘Rob” obsession serves a purpose for ALL of us in our own individual ways….
I’ve already figured out that for ME, Rob is a “surrogate boyfriend” in that I’ve had failed relationships since my divorce 15 years ago that I just assume take a “breather” for a while and learn to be ok with BEING ALONE and that being OK and really accepting that this is what is in my future ….. I wanted to relive the ROMANCE of youth and the excitement of NEW LOVE and the thrill of seeing the face of someone you have a crush on……without having to deal with all the HEAVY SHIT. LOL
Well, maybe that’s what movie stars are for. Untouchable romance…..that can never “let us down” cause we will never know them, or realize they are just as screwed up as WE are and don’t have a CLUE how to be in this world…..and make any sense of it.
ROB is a beautiful man, with a sweet heart and a gentle and tender way about him and he’s a perfect mixture of masculine and feminine and I just think he’s UNTHREATENING in many ways. It’s not just his AMAZING BEAUTY that pulls us in to him……we each see something in him that is missing in our lives, or just is something we are drawn to that gives us joy.
When I watched those interviews last year, I was reminded that he was a carefree youth, unafraid to be himself and say EXACTLY what was on his mind and the world be damned. I think we all DELIGHTED IN THAT and were DRAWN TO THAT….and his excitement and enthusiasm also made us love him. Like some naive, innocent, JOY. JUST ROB BEING ROB.
I hope hollywood and the papz don’t kick the shit out of what we saw in that young man that made us love him as we do……
Maybe deep down we all want him to be happy because we want the JOYOUS person that he is not get beat up by this world and brought to his knees….. SOMEHOW I think Rob understands all this and as I’ve read, he just blows it all off as absurd and goes about his life.
But I will say this, I DO think Kristen is perfect for him. They will understand each other. Intellectually, professionally (as actors), even though she’s younger than he is, she’s done so many more films that I think perhaps she’s just got more life experience than Rob has….they are both deep people who also love to have fun and love music and the arts and I just see how they have so much what the other needs.
It’s not just cause they are Edward and bella. That’s bullshit for me in my eyes. I see them helping each other a lot…whether they are just dearly close friends…or more. Whatever it is, I hope they remain close in some way or another for a long time. They are good for each other.

I totally understand how you say that for you Rob is a “surrogate” boyfriend. I feel the same way. I’ve been divorced for 11 years now, and even though I didn’t have ANY relationships during that time (I wanted to totally avoid the failure and heartache involved when they didn’t work out) and can now accept the being alone aspect of my life, it is nice to think of Rob as an unattainable relationship. I do have my wonderful 3 children to help me every day to enjoy my life and now I have Rob to help me enjoy my life,because he is a big part of it.
And everything that you said about Rob in your post is so true. He is such a beautiful person inside and out. Thats why we all love him so very much.
